Personal Statement
My name is John Mack. I am a Senior at Arrowhead High School in Hartland, Wisconsin. Arrowhead has the third largest enrollment in the state and is one of the top high school football programs in the nation. I was the starting kicker and free safety this past season. We went to the D1 state championship game, but lost to Kimberly. I was voted the top kicker in the state this season by the Wisconsin Football Coaches of Wisconsin. I loved playing high school football and hope to kick at the collegiate level. I am a hardworking kid who gives 100%+ to my coaches.
I also played basketball in high school. I played on the JV basketball team as a Freshman at Catholic Memorial High School. As a sophomore at Arrowhead, I was the back-up point guard on the WIAA Regional final team that lost in the tournament to the D1 state champion, Germantown. As a Junior, I started every game at the point guard position. I did not go out for the basketball team this year because I want to focus on my kicking skills and strength conditioning this winter to be able to contribute next season on a collegiate football team.
