Personal Statement
When faced with a personal statement such as this it is hard for one to remain humble yet in the same turn, highlight ones accomplishments. I am Blair Mulholland and I am a versatile junior athlete at Kimberly High School in northeastern Wisconsin. Ever since I was a kid my dream has been to obtain a meaningful degree and athletic success at a division one collegiate school. Even though that is my dream, I would play college football at any college, in any state, in any division.
I started playing tackle football in 2nd grade and I've loved it ever since. My first varsity football game my freshman year I had 3 carries for 57 yards and 2 touchdowns. This small amount of success showed me that I had the potential to compete at the next level. I worked extremely hard in school and in my three sports to better myself in all aspects of life. My sophomore season I had the opportunity to be a part of an undefeated State Championship team. My contributions to the team included carrying the ball 126 times for 1204 yards and 20 touchdowns. This past year I was the MVP in out second undefeated State Championship game and in my 11 games I carried the ball 211 times for 1589 yards and 26 touchdowns. I started to see that all of those 5:45 morning lifts were paying off.
As stated above, I am a three sport athlete excelling in; football, wrestling, and track. My freshman and sophomore years I was awarded a letter in each sport and this fall I was awarded my second letter in football. I am a two time undefeated conference champion for wrestling as well as finishing in the elite eight at the state tournament my freshman year. I am also a part of the current 4x100 meter relay team that holds the school record and made state finals last year.
I will continue to improve myself by attending top-level camps, seeking extra coaching whenever possible and becoming a stronger leader amongst our team. My training and conditioning had been increased to a more rigorous level already this spring. I look forward to competing at my football camps this summer to position myself to be the areas/states elite athlete.
