Personal Statement
I have loved football since before kindergarten. Simple playground games and flag football leagues got me eager to play tackle as early as I could. In fourth grade I finally got the chance and started playing tackle football through my high school's youth program. I have played every year since and in every game.
I walked into high school football with high hopes and was not disappointed, our freshman team won city and conference beating teams our program hadn't beaten in several years. After my sophomore/junior varsity season I was elected captain and earned a varsity letter. My junior year I started at center and tackle at the varsity level playing every quarter and receiving another varsity letter as well as an all-conference honorable mention.
Outside of football I have been successful in school with currently a 3.6 G.P.A. after taking one honors course and five advanced placement courses. I have also participated in track and field for three years throwing shot put and discus in the spring and regularly attending our high schools winter speed and strength program. With my G.P.A., community service work, and many extra curricular activities, I was invited to join my high school chapter of the National Honor Society and I am currently applying for admission in the fall.
I love football and want to play it as long as I physically can. It would be an amazing experience for me to play college football and I am willing to put in the effort necessary to become the best player that I can be.
