My goal is to first and foremost succeed as a student, and make my way into the job market. That being said, football is a sport which will improve my overall college experience. It is something that I excel at, and enjoy doing. Having a team is an incredible resource that can't be overestimated, from fellow athletes to resourceful coaches. Aside from bringing in physical talent to a team, I am also a good role model in the classroom. Right now I'm a student aid for my Spanish teacher, Sra. Reel, during which I help her Spanish 3 students, among other things (I'm Spanish 5). My GPA is fairly high, being 3.9, and that is with taking challenging AP classes. On campus I'll be willing to try new clubs that perhaps aren't so popular. Just this year I joined a club called Fellowship of Christian Athletes, just from a friend's suggestion. While involved in the FCA we have orchestrated and executed two food drives for the local food pantry, and plan to do more volunteer such efforts throughout the year. As for my performance in football, I am proud to say that I was a starting guard for two years on the Waukesha West football team. Both of those years led us to the D2 state championship. This last year, my senior year, I won second all conference and academic all state team. These are no measly feats. Us Wolverines compete in the Classic 8, which as my coaches say, is one of the most competitive conferences in the state, including Arrowhead and Catholic Memorial. And one final edge I have on other athletes is that I am involved in the NX Level weight training program. This is a huge reason I am where I am today, as there I undergo intense and proven training of no equal. Taken all together, I am in a unique situation where I have a strong balance between athletics, academics, and character.
