Personal Statement

My immediate goals after high school are to play competitive football at a highly ranked and respectable school, in both athletics and academics. I am dedicated becoming an intrical part of a college team that has the goal of having a championship season.  I feel I can contribute a high level of skill and experience to a football team with my athleticism and hard work. I am 6'3" with good speed and agility and can catch the football even in difficult situations.  I have had the unique experience of playing both sides of the ball as well as special teams with my willingness to learn many positions and play them well. I have been training in the weight room and running 5 or 6 days each week. I am benching nearly 300 pounds and challenge myself to get stronger with my dedication to weight training, exercise and healthy eating.  I strive to be actively involved in high school athletics including football, where I have been an all conference player on the varsity my sophomore and junior year, basketball, where I was rookie of the year on varsity my junior year,  and track, which I competed in as a junior for the first time and made it to sectionals in 3 events and was named MVP.  I also strive to maintain a high level of academics both in rigor and honor level grade point average. I spend summers going to football training camps where I have had many opportunities to learn from good coaches.   I have also spent 10 summers on a competitive water skiing and barefoot team which has increased my balance, strength and coordination.  I grew up near my grandfather's farm, which has given me many opportunities to be involved in hard, physical work splitting wood and bailing hay. I give 100% to all all teams that I am a part of as well as being the best student that I can be. I would love nothing more than to continue my pursuits in academics and athletics into my college years playing the sport I have the most passion and skill in - football.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
