Personal Statement
Hello, my name is Michael Neumueller and I am currently a senior at Wausau West High School. I have always had a love for the game of football, and after this past season, I now have aspirations to continue my career at the next level, wherever that may be. I have played football since my sophomore year in high school and have attended camps such as Iron River and Central Wisconsin to help myself become the best football player I can be. Also, I have worked with a kicking specialist for the past 2 years, and as result was awarded second team all conference in the Valley Football Association North. Along with football I play basketball and have since my elementary school days. Both of these sports have taught me many life lessons that have not only helped me grow as a player, but also as a person. I am also very thankful for the coaches who have worked with me and everything they've taught me such as: hard work, dedication, selflessness, and most importantly, teamwork. In the past, I have participated in soccer, baseball, and track all of which that have helped round me out as an athlete.
Academically, I am very prideful. I currently have a 3.88 gpa and challenge myself in my coursework. Aside from just grades, I participate in DECA (business and marketing based competition), National Honor Society, Rotary Club, and Link Crew (freshman orientation). I am also involved in my community with volunteer experience at church, Greenheck's family picinic, the Jubilee House (serving meals to the less fortunate), and coaching and mentoring youth athletes. All of these experiences have taught me something about myself and served the community.
Finally, I believe my work ethic in both athletics and academics set me apart from other athletes. I believe I will make an excellent player at your program and would be interested in talking to you. Thank you for your time and effort to consider me.
