Personal Statement
In my first high school football season, earning 1st team All-Conference and throwing more than 10 touchdowns only set the bar high for the next few years. Being a freshmen quarterback on varsity has taught me many things including toughness, work ethic, and leadership. These qualities are only going to strengthen over the next 3 years to prepare me for the next level. I am very fortunate to have grown up watching Ryan Switzer excel at my high school. He has been a motivation for me because he has shown me what it takes and how much work needs to be done to excel. This has pushed me to work and get better everyday.
I am looking for a program that not only excels athletically but also academically. I would love to pursue my education in the Engineering field and graduate with a civil engineering degree. I feel that I would not only have an impact on the field but also in the classroom, while maintaining a 3.7 GPA. I value my academics just as much as my athletics knowing they are both equally important. I feel that because of my strengths academically and athletically, I would be an asset to any program.
