Je'mon Smith, an National Football League veteran, will talk about college recruiting Wednesday at Enterprise High School.
Smith, who played for the Philadelphia Eagles, will speak on Recruiting Realities at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the little theater on the Enterprise campus.
As an educational speaker for the National Collegiate Scouting Association, Smith shares his personal experiences and educates coaching staffs and families on how to maximize each student-athletes true collegiate recruiting potential.
Smith is one of 34 educational speakers involved with the NCSA's "College Recruiting Simplified."
The seminar is free to all students and their parents.
In addition to playing in the NFL, Smith holds two master's degree in Human Resources and Labor Relations.
The topics covered include the benefits of collegiate sports, understanding whether your student-athlete is being recruited, strategies to maximize an athlete's recruiting potential, timelines for recruiting and five things every athlete must do to be recruited. The discussion also includes a look at lower division recruiting.
