At one point Howard held the collegiate record for most touchdowns at 69 and was also the first person to rush for 5,000 yards in four years at the University of Louisville while being named an All-American twice. Howard’s legacy and impact on Louisville football will be remembered forever as he was inducted in the university’s Hall of Fame in 1992. His impressive collegiate career led to a five year professional career with the New Orleans Saints and Baltimore Colts.
After his playing days, Howard experienced a great deal success in professional pursuits in the financial services industry and was named “Who’s Who in American Business.” In addition, Howard’s athletic and business careers have created demand for his talents as a popular motivational speaker.
