NCSA Educational Speaker, Joe Burns attended Thomas County Central High School in Georgia. While attending Central, Burns was a part of the Yellow Jackets football team earning three state championships in four years. During both his junior and senior year, Burns was named the Georgia Player of the Year, and was an USA Today Honorable Mention All-USA selection. After graduation, Burns received a full scholarship to Georgia Tech. As a result of his hard work and determination, Joe began making contributions to the team during his first year ultimately becoming an All-ACC running back in his junior year. After only three years, Joe became the fourth leading rusher in Tech’s history and second with 34 touchdowns. Following Tech, Joe went to the NFL and played for the Buffalo Bills for four consecutive years. In addition to educating student-athletes and families about the recruiting process, Joe is also back at Georgia Tech working towards completing his Business Management degree as well as running his real estate investment firm.
