Coming from the Bronx and of Dominican heritage, a career in professional football seemed highly unlikely. However, Stalin Colinet was determined to defy the odds and pursue his passion of football. A successful high school career landed Stalin a spot at Boston College where he was named All-Big East in 1996 and voted the Best Defensive Player in New England. Based on his collegiate career, Stalin eventually became the first Dominican player to be drafted and play in the NFL when he was selected by the Minnesota Vikings in the third round of the 1997 NFL Draft. Stalin also spent time with the Cleveland Browns and Jacksonville Jaguars during his NFL career. With an inspiring story to share, Stalin hopes to show young student-athletes how they can achieve their athletic goals by helping them understand the collegiate recruiting process.
