NCSA caught up with rising baseball star Vincent Rose to talk about his high school career and the opportunity to compete at the next level.
NCSA: What motivates you before a big game?
Rose: I think all day about the start of a game and play it out in my mind.
NCSA: What are you looking forward to if and when you get the opportunity to play at the collegiate level?
Rose: I look forward to the challenge of competing with the best players in my age group.
NCSA: Why did you get involved in baseball?
Rose: I started getting more involved with baseball at age seven when I hit a home run in my first all-star game and we won the game 15-14.
NCSA: Tell us about your interactions with college coaches so far.
Rose: There are so many colleges out there. It’s tough finding the fit that's right for YOU.
NCSA: What are your goals athletically, academically and in your community for the rest of the school year?
Rose: To decide on a college a.s.a.p. - don't ever coast academically - try to be the player that younger guys look up to - have fun but work hard through the end of my senior year.
