This is Ilana Friedman’s second appearance as student-athlete of the month and this time we have great news to share. Ilana recently committed to the University of Vermont where she will be a member of the women’s ice hockey team in the fall of 2009.
Ilana is a goalie from Middleton, Wisconsin who plays for the Madison Capitols of the Midwest Elite Hockey League. Ilana has made her mark on the ice and at Middleton High School, maintaining a 3.5/4.0 GPA while taking honors and AP courses. She is also a member of the school band, the Imagine Club, and is active with drug awareness programs.
After researching various colleges and universities, Ilana determined that the University of Vermont was the right fit for her academically, athletically and socially. She has since been offered a spot on the team and will wear the green and gold next fall. We wish Ilana the best of luck as she prepares for her college career!
