NCSA wants to congratulate Casie Fields and Kathy Shei for winning the 2008 U19 Women’s National Championships with the Chicago Mission. The Mission took the title in West Chester, PA after beating Little Caesars 2-1 in triple overtime.
For Fields, this was her second national championship. She also raised the trophy as a U14 player with the Chicago Young Americans. Fields and Shei both remarked that this was an amazing experience they will never forget.
Despite early success, both 2009 grads have very bright futures ahead. Fields carries a 3.8 GPA at Stevenson High School and is talking to several Ivy League coaches. She is also being recruited by Midwest powerhouses such as the University of Wisconsin. Shei has her sights set on the east coast, and with her 3.5 GPA from Loyola Academy, she will certainly have many options to choose from.
