I thought I knew how the recruiting process worked because I watched my older brother become heavily recruited by several major Division I football programs. When it was my turn, I realized the process was not the same for every student-athlete. While he was recruited by a few Division I schools during high school, those offers were slowly pulled off the table due to his lack of knowledge about the recruiting process. Fortunately, I kept in touch with college coaches of all levels and was eventually offered and accepted a full scholarship to Indiana University of Pennsylvania. I want all student athletes to understand the recruiting process so they do not miss out on the opportunity to play in college and earn a meaningful degree.
I also played with the Philadelphia Eagles before joining NCSA and becoming a motivational speaker talking about Athleadership and the amazing things that can be achieved through an athletic scholarship. Athleaders are student athletes who maximize sports to get ahead and to give back. They use the game to get what they want.
