Personal Statement

Hello my name is Daniel Matthews, I am 18 years old and I live in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Ever Since I was a little boy I have had the dreams of playing college basketball. I would love to go to school at a place that is warm for most of the year, but in the end I would go anywhere that I potentially had the opportunity to play. I want to pursue some kind of architecture/art related subject for my life and anything else that has to do with the art side of life. I am a great leader because I don't fold under pressure, I have a sensetive heart for the underdogs, and I want to win at all costs. I have been told from every coach that I have played under that I can do anything sports related if I put my mind to it and work hard. Many coaches have told me that I work hard inside of practice, but it is my job to work outside of practice. I believe that I have done so, I love the quote from Larry Brid, "The only way you are truly going to get better is by yourself...". Also, basketball is just another way that I can glorify Jesus Christ through my actions. I love basketball and I am willing to do whatever it takes to excel in that area of life.
