I am currently taking a GAP Year prior to playing collegiate basketball at an elite or high academic college or university. While continuing to focus on basketball and strength/endurance training, I am in the process of launching a start up clothing company. Additionally, I am tutoring my 12 year old sister who was homebound and unable to attend school last year due to health issues that she is still trying to overcome.
I was named MVP for my high school varsity team for the 2015-16 season and was Co-Captain 2016-2017.
In July 2016, I was named to the All-Star Team at the 2016 West Coast Elite 100 Basketball Camp for the Class of 2017. The Elite 100 is an NCAA certified event which brings together top tier college players.
I am a 6'6" shooting guard that can play the positions 1-3 and can rebound, score, and pass. I can handle the ball, shoot well, and I am a talented defensive player. I start on my high school varsity team in the largest and most competitive division in Arizona high school basketball.
During the last 4 games of the 2015-16 high school regular season, I averaged 12.4 points and 4.75 rebounds per game. In the last 7 games of the regular season, which included a game against the eventual Division I state champion, I averaged 10.0 points per game.
My free throw percentage for the entire varsity season was 80%.
During the season, I was asked to defend the best players on the other team. I am a versatile and consistent player who plays a plethora of positions. I believe my ability to play all over the court, stretch the defense out, and guard positions 1-4 differentiates me from a lot of other high school athletes. I feel I have the ability, work ethic, and upside to be a play maker on any collegiate team.
I play on the Power North Platinum 17U Club Basketball team where I average approximately 12 - 14 points per game. I have had high scoring games including a 21 point game.
Academically, I work hard in the classroom and have a 4.62 weighted GPA along with a 3.89 unweighted GPA. As a First Team All Academic for basketball in Arizona, I have the 2nd highest GPA for basketball players in the state and my high school consistently ranks in the top 100 in the country. I am two years ahead in my math classes and have a high 33 superscore on the ACT. Outside of the classroom, I am involved with an organization called Boys Team Charity. I have served as the President of Boys Team Charity in the past for my class . This is an outreach organization in the Phoenix community where I have provided many hours of community service over the past 4 years through partnership with other organizations like St. Mary's Food Bank and Feed My Starving Children.
The college or university that I attend will emphasize winning and excellence both on the court and in the classroom. I look forward to speaking with you. Thank you for your interest.
