Personal Statement
In life there is always going to be a person or people who are going to put you down, tell you that you can’t do it, or tell you that you’re a failure in life and will never make it. For me this was my third grade teacher, Ms. O’neal. Ms.O’neal was my teacher at Gledhill Elementary and she told me after I got a zero on my test, she said, “ I’m the only kid in the class that was dumb and I would never make it in life.” After hearing this my parents told me that my attitude and my passion change for a couple weeks. When my parents told me this I knew that I had to prove her wrong and show that I will be a successful man in life. This also applies in sports too. Coaches or other players will say or do things to show that you not very good or talented or you need much improvement . Being a player, I know how it feels to hear a coach or a peer tell you that you’re not very good or you need much improvement. The player feel down would want to quit the sport or change their sports. When people put you down you feel like you hit rock bottom and you don’t want to continue but the best advice I heard or given to me was, This is for you not the other person do what makes you happier and never let people take your happiness away from you. I learn to do what makes me happy and don’t care what people say because there will always be that one negative person that likes to bring a person down. Prove to everyone that you are an unique person and you will make it life in life like how I am
