Personal Statement
My name is Brad Leontas and I will be graduating in 2017. I am a 6'3" 195 pound shooting guard, who attends Oak Hills High School in Southern California. My academic collegiate goals are to study the field of Human Biology, and to become a physician assistant in grad school. I am a very strong leader in both school and athletics and currently have a 3.0 GPA. My athletic goals are to play at the college level with a group of guys who work well together, are competitive, and close knit. Since starting school this year, I had the honor of starting on our Varsity Football team and winning a CIF Championship ring, and I now have another honor of being a captain, and starter, of my basketball team. Oak Hills has given me the opportunity to take AP and honor courses this year, and I am also going receive a certificate when I graduate, after finishing my ROP Athletic Training program. This will enable me to work as time allows while going to school. I love playing basketball and am an intense player, with a great work ethic. I am definitely a team player. I am looking for a college with a strong academic program, and a team where both players and coaches can work towards bettering one another on and off the court. I have received the awards of 1st Team All CIF Southern Section, 1st Team All League, and 1st Team and 2nd Team All Area. I also played in a CIF Southern Section Title Game, held a team high of 17 points, and had the privilege of playing against Army/Navy in a State game as well. I am looking forward to contributing my basketball and leadership skills to a college program that will fit both my academic and athletic goals.
