Kobe Ordonio '17 Recruiting Profile

I have been playing basketball since I was two years old. I was born in Manila, Philippines. My dad played professional basketball there for 6 years in the PBA. He was also a point guard, so I was able to experience the game up close and I learned a lot. Since I first stepped on the court, I have aspired to play at the collegiate level. I have strong ball handling skills, with both hands and I’m a good shooter. I love driving to the basket and I have a high basketball IQ. I also love to pass because when I pass and my teammate scores, it feels as if I scored also. I am a team leader and try to lead by example while also encouraging my teammates. I am very coachable and strive to be one of the hardest working players for any team I am a part of.

Off the court, I study hard and maintain a high GPA. I was taught to be a scholar athlete because basketball will not last forever and I know I will have to get a job once basketball is over, so I take school very serious. I also volunteer at local youth basketball camps and I also love working with kids.

I want to attend a college where I can push myself in the classroom and on the basketball court. I am open to all options and want to ultimately find the right college match at the highest level of competition possible. I hope to become a great role model to all peers and make my parents proud.
