Aaron Acosta '18 Recruiting Profile

My goal is to attend a top academic college where I can also play competitive basketball. I am a three-year starter at Canyon Crest Academy, which is the top rated academic high school in San Diego County and an excellent basketball program.  This past year,  we were ranked in the Top 10 overall in the region for most of the season.  I am playing AAU for Earl Watson Elite, which is one of the top programs in the west coast and the country.  I think I am coachable and a very hard worker.  Prior to high school I did a professional acting and worked with great directors at some of the best regional theaters in the nation. It taught me a lot about preparation and teamwork. I believe that is what makes me a quick learner on the court. I went from playing freshman basketball to being a varsity starter the following year as a sophomore and a top scorer my junior year in one of the best teams in the county. I hope to apply the skills and discipline I have from playing basketball to a great college experience and hopefully a great professional career in the future.
