Personal Statement

My name is Nickolas Oberriter.  I am a junior at Truckee High School, Truckee,California.  My weighted gpa is at 3.33 and I enjoy school.  I am a student athlete who is looking to attend a college where I could pursue a degree in the health sciences while still being able to play basketball.   I have been playing basketball since the 2nd grade, played JV my freshman year and was brought up to Varsity my freshman year for states. Since states, I have been on the Varsity team.   I am currently team captain and the starting point guard for Truckee's basketball team.  I have also been team captain in soccer as well.  Being team captain I use a lot of communication skills and positive feedback to keep my team mates focused, working hard everyday, and enjoying the game as much as I do.  I look forward to communicating with you about your program and curriculum.
