Deividas Klimkevicius '16 Recruiting Profile

My name is Deividas (David) Klimkevicius, class of 2016. I am 6'3, 175lbs SG/PG. I am a European student athlete from Lithuania. I studied and played varsity basketball in the United States for two years (my junior and senior year). I was always fascinated by American basketball, and coming to the U.S. made my dream come true. I am a hard worker, on and off the court. English not being my primary language challenged me and made me want to have good grades even more. I challenged myself even more by taking couple honors classes and maintaining a 4.00 and above GPA throughout my junior and senior year. On the court I always try to give my best, no matter if it would be a simple drill or an important game. I always want to pursue perfection, because my coach always taught us that Persistent Pursue of Perfection is what makes a player and a person great. I love basketball with all my heart, part of that is because I was born and raised in a basketball country. People say that basketball is the second religion in Lithuania, and that is true. I want to take my basketball career to a higher level, compete, improve and help win in any way I can. My playing style is unique, because I have a European and American style of play, which helps and benefits me on the court. I played varsity basketball two years, played AAU basketball, got selected to the All-League team, and my senior year got chosen to participate in the Inland Valley Classic All-Star game.  My goal is to find a college that would have the same mindset as me, have a great team chemistry, hunger to win, good academics and would believe that I am a good fit for them.
