I am a 5’7”, 125 lb. point guard from Guadalupe, California. I attend Ernest Righetti High School in Santa Maria, California, graduating class of 2020, with a current 3.0 GPA.
I’ve played basketball since I was four years old. I’ve played youth, middle and high school and AAU basketball. This past summer my AAU team, Cal Swoosh Phenoms, won our first championship.
I was a team captain for my middle school and I am a team captain for my AAU teams. I am always the first in the gym and always last to leave. I am the kind of individual who works hard and is dedicated to improving my skills and training to better myself and my team. I am always putting in extra work whether it is before or after practice or before or after a game. I push my teammates to work together to accomplish our winning goals as a team. Our AAU teams lacked leadership and self-discipline, so I took the time to get our team on track to start working together. One of the most important things to me is being a team player not only do I work hard on my basketball skills and fundamentals, I also work hard on my academics because without that I can't play basketball.
I am looking for a college where I can find the right place between the classroom and the basketball court. I would like to attend a college with an outstanding academic reputation in kinesiology along with a outstanding basketball program. These are the two areas I want to succeed in as a student athlete. I want to go to a college where I can make a big impact on the team. I do not have a preference on locations or geographic regions where I want to attend college I am willing to go anywhere that is a fit for me.
Financial assistance is going to be very important to me in my college selection process as my family will have some needs in helping me get to the next step in reaching my goal.
