Personal Statement
Everyone wants to win, everyone says they crave the competitiveness of sports, that they solely live, breathe, and sleep about basketball. What sets me apart is that basketball has taught me a lot throughout my journey. It taught me patience, passion, teamwork, effort, and perseverance. From the moment I picked up a basketball and started to play at the age of seven, I knew that it was it more than just a game. The sound of the whistle blowing to begin the game, to the shot clock winding down at the fourth quarter, I guarantee that I will wholeheartedly and passionately play with every ounce of energy I have left to push out. Additionally, I put this same type of effort and energy in my academic studies as well. I have maintained over a 3.0 GPA so far in my undergraduate studies and have earned several academic achievements. I desire to find a place to where I can excel and lead in school and on the court as a team. I am completely dedicated during all practices, workouts, and games. If you give me an opportunity, I will show you.
