Personal Statement
"At the end of the day, your life is just a story. If you don't like the direction it's going, change it. Rewrite it. When you rewrite a sentence, you erase it and start over until you get it right. Yes, it's a little more complicated with a life, but the principle is the same. And remember, don't let anyone tell you that your revisions are not the truth"(Tyler Jones). Most people say I dream to much, but the reality is there's no such thing; and everything people thought to be impossible, just turned out to be an obstacle.
Going to college is my first big opportunity and I believe I will give my all to accomplish my collegiate goals. I'm not afraid to admit I want to be great, and I'm also not afraid to take this chance while being away from everyone I know and love. I know with going off to college, there are a lot of "what if's" that may come to mind. Due to basketball, I've learned that I can be my own worst enemy, and there is no such thing as "I can't" or "it's to hard". Basketball has also taught me how to lead both physically and verbally, but my talents and skills aren't all just basketball. I take great pride in my education and maintain a high GPA. In my spare time, I also like to cook, draw, and write to keep in touch with my artistic skills. I was raised in house where I was taught to always respect those I come by and to always be humble, no matter what awards or acknowledgements come my way. I believe when I'm given the opportunity, I will bring a hard working, coachable, respectful, team playing attitude to any school that is willing to invest their time and money into my future.
