Ryan Sweeney '15 Recruiting Profile

I'm a 6'5" team player who is a very good shooter, looks to pass and am an aggressive defensive player  I have been playing basketball since I can remember.  .  Perhaps my best quality is that I have fierce determination and am a very hardworker.  Evidence of this is that when Ii joined my AAU team, i was ranked 9th out of 10th on the team.  One year later, i was placed number one on the depth chart just prior to going to AAU Nationals and at Nationals was our team's leading scorer.  My AAU coaches like the fact that I can play 4 of the 5 positions (2-5).  My high school coach told me that he is planning to work me at point guard as well so that I am adept at all 5 positions.  I am a really hard worker, good listener and never quit.  I will do anything my coach needs to win. Importantly, I am a quiet leader.  I may not be the most outgoing kid on the team but, when I make a decision on the court, my teammates follow.  Finally, I love the sport of basketball.  I play it everyday whether it's with a team or in my driveway.  But, I also am a weather fanatic and hope to be able to combine my love of basketball with my interest in metereology when I choose a place to go to college.
