  • At Jim Calhoun Basket Ball Camp I did various training stations, for example, what we would do to work on your leg muscles is that you would balance yourself on one leg and on that one leg you would have to jump from side to side on that one leg you are balancing on, there was another activity were it helps you on your put backs. What you would do is that you would have to make a line with at least 20 people and once some one bounces the ball on the back board the next person in line would have to jump in the air as if you were going to put it back , but in this case you would just bounce it off the back board instead of the hoop. There was another activity were you would fight for the ball and this is an activity where one of the trainers would throw the basket ball down the court and you and your opponent would race for the ball, and who ever got there first would grab the ball and be the winner of that round, but if the two opponents are racing towards the ball and its a tie you could always dive on the floor and wrestle around for it until the trainers called jump ball but in a game case it would be the referee calling the jump ball. Last training activity that i think was effective was where you would have a trainer throw the ball up in the air and you and one other trainer student would have to jump in the air and get the rebound.
