Basketball is not just a sport for me, its a way of life. I love the game and I truly aspire to be the best I can be. I have fun being in the gym and enjoy all the hard practice time. I was fortunate to have an older brother Jonathan, and my dad who pushed me and coached me along the way. The three of us have had some great times in the gym working together to get better. I remember getting up early in grade school and going to the gym so that we could get 200 "makes" before school. I've definitely developed a strong work ethic that is truly part of who I am. I am a basketball player.
My dream is to play College basketball. I work hard every week in the gym and weight room to be the best I can be. My dad is a big part of my basketball. We go to the gym and shoot everyday. He rebounds for me and analyzes my form so I can become as accurate as possible. Ever since I can remember I've been working on my shooting form. I've been blessed to work with both Mark & Brent Price for many years as I've developed. My goal has been to develop a pure shooting form like Mark & Brent had in the NBA. I have a practice plan that I'm implementing this off season. Along with shooting, I work on my ball handling as well. I'm good at beating the press. I also work with a trainer 3 times a week who specializes in core, speed and athleticism. My goal is to be "College Ready" my senior year in High School.
My high school's curriculum is on the college prep track. So the classes are designed to be difficult. But I've learned to manage my time and keep a 4.0. My plan is to graduate Valedictorian.
Our "Oklahoma Attack" competitive team is coached by my dad. I've played for him as long as I could dribble. I understand what it takes to put together a team, and realize that this is a team sport. I want to be the kind of player that makes the team better. I strive to not be a selfish player, but one that works well with others and plays team ball. I always try to be a player that leaves it all on the court and is coachable in listening to his coach and teammates. I want to be a player that every coach would enjoy having on the team.
Finally, my first priority is to honor God in all that I do on and off the court. I want to be a person of the highest character. Hard work is rewarding and with God's help I will make it to that College team of my dreams.
I hope you enjoy my highlights. I look forward to hearing from you.
