Personal Statement
As a player, I do everything in my power to perform at my very best and give my team a chance to win. Ever since I was a little kid, I've wanted to play basketball at the college level. I now understand that in college I will not only learn skills I can use on the court, but life skills I can apply in whatever I wish to do. I consider myself a good candidate for a team because I offer a winning mentality, basketball IQ, and my impeccable work ethic. With these characteristics, I feel that I can fit nicely into many different programs.
I believe that I am different from other recruits because I am a well-rounded individual off the court as well as a versatile player on the court. I am currently in the International Baccalaureate Program, an intense academic program that requires students to be active in the community as well as active in the classroom. On the court, I pride myself on bringing a competitive fire every time I play. If all else fails, I want to show everyone who watches me play that I am a competitor, and that nothing will stop me from doing what I can to win.
