I am a young varsity player able to play with the best in our area. Over the last year, I have played with and against many of them and have earned their respect as well as the respect of area coaches. I am 6'5" and still growing. My goal is to be taller than my dad (who is 6'7"). I have been playing basketball since I was 5 and have been consistently awarded MVP and/or top defensive player (awarded Defensive Player of 5-star camp). But, the best comment I hear from coaches is that I am an extremely reliable player with a great understanding of the game and am looked upon by my teammates as a leader. I come from a very close family who supports each other in reaching their dreams. My sister and I have played many sports and we all go to all the events to cheer each other on. My parents were collegiate athletes and have told me how much fun it is to play for a college team and about the friends you make. I hope I can experience that as well. I really am not particular on what school I play for or its size. I would just like the opportunity to play on the college level and contribute to someone's program and get an excellent education at the same time. I am confident, regardless of where I end up, that I will be an asset to the team. I am a good team player, an unselfish player and very coachable. I believe in working hard and earning your right to play. I have spent the off-season and this summer working hard at getting stronger and faster--training at the Andrew's Institute, with private trainers and playing AAU ball. I am interested in staying in the Southeast so my family can make it to the games, but of course, I am open to any option. And, I am interested in a school with a good academic program because that is very important to me. And, one last thing, my sister wanted me to add that I am an awesome big brother! There's really nothing more important than that!
