Jean Pierre Yana '15 Recruiting Profile

~~I am a 6’3 guard originally from Cameroon, Africa. I am currently attending Melbourne Central Catholic in Melbourne, Florida.  I have been in the United States attending school since the beginning of my 10th grade.  Playing basketball at the professional level and attending school in the United States has been a goal of mine since I was very young.  Where I am from life is not easy, so I learned that if I want to achieve my goals that I must work three times as hard as everyone else.  I accomplished my biggest academic challenge which was to pick up English and stay on track as the English speaking kids in school.  I have worked very hard and will be set to graduate in 2015.  Each semester my GPA gets better and better as I work harder and harder.  I would love to study law and international diplomacy or work with Organisation non Governmental to help people around the world.

Not only do I work hard to accomplish my academic goals to be a strong student but I work hard to take my basketball skills to the next level.  I am a very dedicated player.  I always try to be the best teammate, the best leader, a coachable player for my coach, and a person who makes a difference on the court.    
If I am playing offense or defense. I have found it to be true that if you play a good defense the great offense  will come naturally.  I fight hard to make that happen and will always give a 110% on the court and off the court.  Thank you for taking time read ny summary statement.
