My name is Garrett Ellington and my goals and aspirations for college are to attend a college where I can obtain a degree in Biomedical Engineering. My interests are biology, chemistry, biomedical and engineering. I am a good candidate for a college and a college basketball team because I work hard at maintaining a high GPA (3.96) in my honors and AP courses as well as excelling at basketball. I am currently entering my 11th grade year and my third year on my high school Varsity team. I received Varsity MVP player this school year and was named in the 2016 Brevard County Boys High School Basketball Honorable Mention. In the off season I have played 3 years of club/travel/AAU basketball. Some of my strengths as a player are rebounding, blocking and scoring. I strive to play my position as a center/power forward to its full potential. A few of my character strengths are that I am honest, hardworking, determined and I possess leadership qualities. I was chosen as the 10th grade male for the 2015-2016 Cape Coast Conference Leadership Summit at my high school. I am looking forward to my last 2 years in high school and I am working towards finding a school to obtain my degree and hopefully play basketball as well.
