Personal Statement
My goal for the next stages of my life is to use basketball as a tool to teach me discipline, hardwork, and consistency. The skills I learn on the court matriculate to how I carry myself off the court and in the classroom. In preparation for college I've been waking up 5:30 in the morning for the beginning 3 months of the season for practice, despite having homework and projects to complete the night before. As I've prepared for my senior year, I've learned to work hard, compete, and strive for greatness, which has transpired into the classroom. As a future architect student and athlete, I've become accustomed to balancing and working on projects in between my basketball schedule. I've spent 3-4 hours a night during a school day and weekend completing a AP project, where I built and designed a off grid house concept, and had to wake up at 5:15 in the morning for practice. I've embraced the challenges that comes with being a student athlete and I'm prepared to take my talents and knowledge to the next level to achieve my personal, career, and professional goals.
