Personal Statement

Hello, my name is Samuel Perry JR and I am a 6'3 shooting guard at Landmark Christian School in Fairburn, GA. I currently lead my High School team in scoring (20ppg) and rebounds (7.5) while shooting 60% from the field, 40% on 3s and 88% on free throws. I am second in steals (2.0), assists (3.0) and blocks (1.5). Although I am able to score from all three levels, I am an excellent jump shooter from midrange and distance. Defensively I have very long arms which I use to be disruptive on defense. This AAU season our team won the Georgia Cup I 16U Championship (MAR19), won the ADIDAS Silver 16U regional in Indianapolis (APR19), placed in the top four at the Battle for Georgia 16U tournament (JUL19) and we won the ADIDAS Silver 16U National Championship in Texas (JUL19). I pride myself in being an unselfish team player that is coachable and willing to do whatever my team needs to win. I currently bench press 165lbs, squat 285lbs and know that my best basketball is ahead of me. My NCAA Eligibility ID# 1904506873

Academically I strive to excel and do my best in the classroom. I recently scored an 1150 on the SAT and have a 3.3 GPA while taking AP, Honors and dual enrollment courses. In college I plan to major in computer science or computer information systems with a focus on graphic design. Coming from a military family, I believe that I have the discipline, work ethic and skillset to contribute in the classroom and on the court at the collegiate level. I will be a leader and asset for your men's basketball program.
