I go to a small school that isn't really known for athletics. For eligibility reasons, I started High School early, so I'm a class too high. I am constantly striving to improve my all-around game. I know that I'm nowhere close to being ready for collegiate basketball, but I am willing to work to maximize and fulfill my potential. I've only been playing basketball competitively for two years, but that fact always surprises people. I am well behind the 8-ball right now. All I really want is to be able to play college basketball, keep myself in shape, and be a part of a positive culture.
If I'm honest however, I took two years off of basketball due to football injuries. I joined the Varsity team my Senior year in order to play a role and provide some physicality off the bench despite being hurt yet again. I compete and outwork all my teammates in the weight room, but I'm still not the most experienced player. I focus on bringing energy and support for my teammates and capitalizing on the small opportunities I have to be a part of a historic team at my school.
I'm also in the top tier of academic achievement in my class. I've pushed myself in the classroom in order to represent myself, my family, and my school well. Essentially, I strive for maturity and integrity in almost every facet of my life, and I hope I can bring these values to a Collegiate team in some way.
