My name is Braydee Poore and I am currently a junior at Mt. Ayr Community High School in Mt.Ayr, Iowa. Although my true passion lies in athletics, specifically being on the basketball court, I have learned and understand that being an active influential student requires hard work on and off the court. I am lucky to live in a community where I have the opportunity to play all four sports as well as be involved with several other extracurricular activities those of which you can view in the academics portion of my profile.I play bass guitar in the jazz band and my group improvisation team scored a one rating at the State Speech competetion.
I have received 1st Team All-Conference honors in basketball my sophomore and junior year. This years basketball season I was also a KAAN Radio All Star and selected 3rd team All-State. In Football this year I was selected 2nd team All-District and 2nd team All-State as a wide reciever.
I am constantly setting goals for myself and feel that is a great quality inherent within me. I’m eager to learn and determined to win. As a sophomore I was the 2A State Champion High Jumper which only encouraged me to set higher goals for myself. I just recently tied the school record setting high jump, jumping 6’6, helping add to my goal for another State Championship. Being active in track, football, and baseball while not in basketball season has helped me stay in shape and continue to grow in strength as well as in my leadership skills. I consider myself an athlete and student with great character that continues striving to better myself. I stand firmly on being a role model for the younger kids at my school and a model citizen in my community.
My goals for the future are to play basketball at the highest level I can play while recieving a good education. I am undecided on a particular major but am looking into elementary education. Be sure to check out the other sections of my profile for contact information and more stats.
