Personal Statement

I love the game of basketball and I want to play as long as possible. Therefore, I am very interested in playing in college basketball, actually it has always been a dream of mine. I feel I have worked hard enough and been given enough natural ability to make it happen. I live in a very small town no one has ever heard of. So, no one thinks I can do it, but that just makes me work harder to reach that goal. Over the past year I've been to lots of basketball camps and worked out almost everyday! Last year I was ranked 31st out of over 200 players at Scouts Focus in Chicago. I will be a starter on my varsity basketball team for the 2nd year in- a-row. I am 6 foot 4 inches tall and have a 30 inch vertical. I pride myself with defense and rebounding. I am willing to play for almost any team as long as its a good academic school and has my major. School is very important to me, I get great grades and I'm very proud of them. I hope to one day become a teacher or lawyer. I also want to coach a basketball team of my own, one day, if possible.
