I've always admired Kobe Bryant’s relentless work ethic, his drive to be the best and his passion for the game. As a kid, seeing his incredible determination inspired me to work even harder at everything I do in my life. This has led me to being successful in basketball as well as in academics. In terms of basketball, I can honestly say that no one puts in more time and effort than me. My coaches have echoed that thought as well. I've always striven to play on the best teams I could, from high school (Whitney Young) to AAU (Meanstreets EYBL).
Being a part of an extremely competitive basketball program like Whitney Young has made playing time an uphill battle, but I really believe that competing against the best players brings out the best in me. Right now, my focus is on getting into a college that values both basketball and academics. All in all, I think I’m the kind of student-athlete who could contribute a lot to a school, both on and off the court.
