Personal Statement

My name is Jacob Pfeiffer. I am 6’8”, 215 lbs., and play power forward/Center. I live at home with my parents and have two sisters in college. I am a junior at Springfield Lutheran High School and my GPA is approximately 3.6. Basketball is my passion and I am deeply committed to bettering myself. I have been playing basketball since I was very young. I grew 6-7 inches in junior high and went from playing point guard to center in a year. Adjusting to my growth spurt has not been easy but I am a very hard worker and again, I am deeply committed to basketball. Basketball has taught me the values of team work, commitment, patience, self- control, and discipline. My goals are to go to college, play basketball in college, work hard and get a good education, and be the best person that I can be. I am interested in majoring in business, finance, or possibly engineering.
