I completed my sophomore year with a team record of 15-8. I started every game and averaged 11.5 ppg and 6.5 rpg. I am working very hard in the weight room while continuing to work on my basketball skills, especially my ball handling. I have been traveling the Midwest playing AAU basketball with Grass Roots Indiana (coach Jim Reamer). Looking forward to next season as we have several good returning players. I am a very hard worker year round, working on improving my game. I come from a long line of college athletes. My dad played basketball at Purdue 1978-1982. My cousin Ted played at Indiana University, and was on their national championship team in 1981. My Uncle Kelly Kitchel played football for Purdue during the Drew Brees era. My sister played basketball for Olivet Nazarene, and other family members played college sports as well. I think our family has a good idea of the hard work and dedication it takes to become a college athlete and I am putting in the long hours to achieve my goals of playing basketball in college. I also know the importance of working hard in the classroom, as I am preparing myself by taking AP classes.
