Personal Statement
My goal is to play basketball for a college that will help me take my career to the next level. I am a good candidate for any team because I do everything, in school, athletics, and other aspects of life, with my whole heart. I am an honor roll student, dedicated member of my church, leader on the court, on the football field, and on the track, and I never give up. When I was 5 I was diagnosed with Perthes Disease and told I would never be able to run or jump, and sometimes would need a wheel chair to get around. When I was 6 I decided I wouldn’t be content until I was able to dunk a basketball. In my last game of my middle school basketball career, I had my first dunk. In my freshman track season, I went to state for high jump. God gave me the strength to overcome my obstacles, and I continue to do so today. If that doesn’t tell you I would be a great fit for your team/school then I don’t know what will.
