Personal Statement
My long term goal is to attend a four year college and earn a degree at business and (real-)estate agent while playing collegiate basketball at the highest level possible.. I'm playing basketball over 8 years now and my inspiration, my dedication, and my love for the game would make me a good candidate for a basketball team. My belief is getting the job done by doing what ever it would take to win the game. When I was around 12 years old, I chose to play basketball in a team (club) called "Weddinger Wiesel" and the older boys in the team started to laugh at me and to put me down! ...But I never gave up and worked on my ball handling, footwork and my shooting and I was getting better time after time.
I pride myself in being competitive, having strong fundamentals, and playing the game right within a team concept. I believe that without a team, goals such as college ball, cannot be achieved by only one person. Chemistry is everything when it comes to building a team. A team also builds great character not only for myself, but for others as well. What every I do can have a reflection on my team and my coach, such as my effort to go for every rebound and every shot. Or, am I giving the game all my effort to get the job done. I can accept winning a game knowing I gave my fullest effort, but I cannot accept the times when I have not given all my effort. I am motivated by challenges, and improving my game constantly. I am an excellent ball handler, distributor, shooter, and defender. I am always up for the challenge of covering the best wing player of my opposing team regardless of size.
It became my dream to be a professional basketball player and since I live in Germany, it's my dream to attend a college in the United States and play in their team. To give 100%. Even more! All I ask is that I can be given a chance to play college ball and be trained to my fullest potential, not only for the fun and hard work, but for a life long dream. If I get the chance, I won't disappoint anyone, especially not myself, not the team and not the coach. It is thru my experiences in the classroom, and on the basketball court that I want to develop the knowledge, leadership skills, and character that will guide me thru a successful career.
