Personal Statement
First, I'd like to start off by saying that my freshman year I didn't take school as seriously as I should have and hurt myself grade wise, resulting in a 2.5 GPA. This year I have been more committed to my studies and I have brought my GPA up to 2.64.
Basketball is and always has been my passion and my favorite thing to do. Some of my best memories are going to basketball practice with my dad and doing the same drills his high school team was doing. For as long as I can remember, it has been my dream to play basketball at the the highest college level possible for my talent and skills. I am a threat in lots of aspects on the court, I can shoot if left open, drive hard to the basket when guarded, pull up for an off balance jump shot, handle the ball, see the court well, and I take pride in making a big stop on defense.
I want to go to a college where I will be pushed to be the best I can be on and off the court. In the end I want to be able to make my family, friends and myself proud of what I accomplish both in basketball and in life. I look forward to finding the college that will help me achieve my goals.
