I can't remember not playing basketball. I started in Upward at a local church and eventually began to play on an AAU basketball team my dad coached. I was recruited by Spiece Kentucky Gators, a team that competes at the national level. As an integral part of the team, we traveled to AAU Nationals and finished 4th in 2012 and 5th in 2013. I am looking forward to finishing 1st in 2014.
What makes me different that other recruits? My grandmother noticed when I was 2 that I had more agility than other kids my age. I have continued to grow and be ahead and of most of the others my age. I attribute my elite basketball skills to God. Even when my scoring stats are low, you can count on me to make it up for it in other stats.
I challenge myself in academics as much as challenge myself in basketball. Academics and basketball are equally important me. In a globally complex society, I must be able to meet life's challenges on and off the court. I have a high basketball I.Q. as well. I can make quick and sound decisions. I understand that I must be able to think critically.
How I spend my spare time describes why I would be a great pick for any basketball team. I live a rural community where I don't always have access to a gym so I practice my skills outdoors and I even practice in snow and rain. I challenge myself to be the best in any situation and I don't take my skills for granted. I spend most of my free time working out and training.
In summary, I am a highly skilled basketball player who started varsity while in the 8th grade. I am strong academically. I have an innate desire to be successful. My character combined with my strong independent work ethic make me an excellent choice for any college basketball team. I hope you will review my profile and contact me to schedule a workout.
