Personal Statement
My name is Trey Lovell and I am in the graduating class of 2022. I am 6'0" 160lb. point guard with the desire to play at the next level. My dad is a basketball coach, and I have been in the gym for as long as I can remember. I play for Muhlenberg County High School and for the Griffin Elite White on the HoopSeen circuit. I feel I am a true point guard, my desire is to make everyone around me better. I try to be an extension of the coaching staff on the floor and a leader to my teammates. I am a good teammate, and when not on the floor, you can see me on the sidelines cheering and encouraging my teammates. I am an on the ball defender and I take pride in working hard on both ends of the floor. I put in extra hours in the gym working out with former University of Kentucky guard Patrick Sparks. These extra hours have improved my game not only physically but mentally as well. I also realize as a high school basketball player, younger kids look up to me, and I strive to be a good example to them on and off the court.
Although basketball is a huge part of my life, I also enjoy other things. I am very active in my church youth group. I enjoy spending time outdoors fishing and kayaking. Both of my parents are teachers and they have pushed for me to be strong academically as well.
I believe I would be an asset to any team. I look forward to hearing from coaches during this exciting time.
