My long term ambition is to either go pro and play in the NBA and also receive my degree in Kinesiology. Basketball is my desire; though, I would love to be in a position where I can help others accomplish their dreams. My 8th grade year I had a compound fracture to right leg, which I received very little training/physical therapy that helped me regain my strength. I had to look up ways to help me get my ability to jump high and run fast on my own, this is why I have an interest in getting my degree in Kinesiology. I want to be able to help others regain their strength from injuries like I sustained.
I am interested in a school that challenges me mentally and a athletic program that challenges me physically and mentally.
What makes you a good candidate for their team?
I am a leader amongst my peers and I consider myself to be a motivator to my teammates. I am self-motivated and adaptable. I have the ability to play multiple positions well. Being a quick learner, I can bring a lot to a team and expect to learn as much as I can from my coach and teammates!
What makes you different from other recruits in character, athletics and academics?
I am a team player; I do my best to always think of my teammates first. I do not look for the quick shot to get the highest points; I look for the open shot even if it means other teammates get the highest points during the games. I am a selfless player. I know that when one person messes up there is no need to get down on that player, because they know what they did wrong, it is our job as teammates to uplift our teammates, even when mistakes are made. We are successful as a whole, not because of one team member, that is the type of mentality that I have; we are as strong as our weakest link.
In academics, I know I must push myself just has hard as I push myself in basketball. I know my weakness and strive to make myself stronger academically.
