Personal Statement

I am a hard working student athlete, in class and on the court. My goal is to graduate in honors with a bachelors degree in Civil and Structural Engineer even while playing collegiate basketball. My aspirations is to one day play in the NBA and become a licensed engineer and establishing my own engineering firm one day after my NBA career is over. I believe what makes me a good candidate for any team my ability to fit in and adjust to any coaching philosophy. I am coachable and do not resist what the coach is trying to do with his team. I will work hard at whatever position that the coach wants to put me in to help the team win. I am different from many other recruits in that I'm not egotistical or arrogant but I am confident in my ability and always helpful and concern about my fellow teammates. I not only encourage my teammates but graciously correct them if they are doing something wrong on the court, at practice or just in life in general. Athletically, I am my toughest critic. If I under perform or have a bad game, I take it personal and put in the extra work I need to to correct it. I have the ability to blow by defenders, play tough, aggressive and strong in the paint for my size as well as rebound with those 6'5, 6'6 or taller players and block shots no matter the size. I am also a great mid-range shooter who can also shoot the 3. Academically, I am a 4.0 student in honors and AP classes who is also currently #8 in my class of 286 students. Any coach who selects me will not be getting just an athlete but an honor student, with great character and integrity who works just as hard in the classroom as he does on the court.

  • Using his size and strength, the 6-foot-2 Baton Rouge native had a very good weekend when attacking the rim. While his shot is streaky right now, once he develops consistency from the perimeter, he will be very hard to stop. Note by Eric Hampford via Future150.com related news on Jordan London.

  • Challenger Bracket Championship. The Future150 alum showcased his good vision and passing ability during his game on Friday afternoon. While he didn’t look to put up a ton of points, he showed that he is also capable of getting to the rim and finishing through contact. With his size he will be a point guard at the next level and with the amount he has improved it looks like he will be a pretty good one. Note from Eric Hampford via Future150.com.

  • My AAU Team (FAITH LIONS) came in 2nd place in the 17U division. (A smooth guard at 6-foot-2, the Woodlawn (LA) prospect has great feel on the floor. He can create for himself and showed off a mid-range game for his team. When he isn't scoring the ball, he showed that he can create for others as well.) NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
