Personal Statement
Three years of varsity experience, lessons learned as a coach's son, and adversity during my junior year have molded me into a unique player. During my elementary and middle school years I anticipated varsity game days - sitting on the bench, watching the game unfold, listening to my dad's passion and ideas. Those years formed me into a dedicated student of the game. I have a passionate drive to become better at every aspect of the game and being coachable is one of my strengths.
I continued learning and growing through work on my game and three years at Dick DeVenzio's Point Guard College. There I began to understand leadership and appreciate being a strong, fundamental player. Prior to my junior year, I transferred schools resulting in sitting out half of the season and the transition has melded me into a better player by practicing harder than ever before. I am now looking forward to my summer with the Michigan Titans and my senior year of school ball. In preparation for this I am constantly in the gym working on my shooting, ball handling, and footwork.
Lansing Catholic is much more academically challenging. I have grown this year athletically as well as academically and I am proud of my achievements in the classroom. I am looking for a school where I can play basketball, be academically challenged, and continue to grow as a person. Thank you for your time and contact me if you have any questions!
