Andrew Niebuhr '18 Recruiting Profile

I have learned that teamwork, perseverance, determination, commitment, sacrifice, leadership, and hard work are at the core to playing on a successful basketball team.  I love winning, but I understand that valuable lessons can be learned in moments of disappointments and no matter what you can never give up.  I have a continuous drive and passion for basketball and I am always trying to improve myself. 

I bring quickness, explosiveness and a positive attitude to my team.  I am willing to work hard on both ends of the court.  I incorporate a big game with using my vertical and tough defense.  I take pride in not allowing my opponent to score and I believe that offensively, it is a team effort. The big plays are exciting to watch but it is the fundamentals that win games.  When I step on the court I am fearless and only focus on only getting the job done for my coaches and my team.  As I've matured in my game I am more confident at being a leader on and off the court. This sport has played a tremendous role in my life, and I have made it my goal to compete with a competitive college team. 

I am looking for a school that will be a good fit for my academic interest in the computer science field and help me achieve success in my chosen career.  

Most importantly, I will conduct myself with honor and respect on and off the court, knowing that the way I carry myself reflects on my team, my coaches and the school I attend.
